The Commute is a fashion editorial series for HommeGirls that explores the aesthetic of urban transit through a documentary-style lens. Photographed by Francesco Nazardo with creative direction by Jen Brill, the project captures model Taylor D and other subjects amidst the architecture and motion of city life. The imagery leans into a layered, candid perspective, utilizing soft natural light and clean compositions to frame contemporary tailoring and seasonal outerwear. The series balances portraits with environmental shots, featuring sleek, structured silhouettes—ranging from trench coats to textured wool garments—against backgrounds of polished glass, industrial steel, and urban pavements. With hair styling by Andrea Martinelli and makeup by Rebecca Wordingham, the execution prioritizes a polished yet understated look that mirrors the quiet intensity of daily movement.
