HommeGirls presents Renell, an editorial fashion project captured by photographer Renell Medrano. The series explores portraiture through a blend of low-key chiaroscuro lighting and crisp monochrome compositions, emphasising the tactile qualities of tailored garments and metallic accessories. The project features styling by Marika-Ella Ames, with hair by Joey George and makeup by Raisa Flowers. Set designer Peter Klein provides a minimalist studio environment that allows the subjects—and their distinct sartorial textures—to remain the focal point. Utilizing both soft directional lighting and high-contrast analogue film aesthetics, the imagery shifts between intimate, structured portraits and observational group compositions.
