La Heroica

Mar 2026
La Heroica, an evocative editorial campaign for Holiday Magazine, masterfully blurs the lines between high-fashion portraiture and raw, documentary-style street photography. Under the creative direction of Franck Durand, the project presents a sophisticated visual narrative that captures the soulful intersection of urban life and coastal serenity. Photographed by Hart Lëshkina, the imagery leans into a cinematic aesthetic, frequently utilizing composite diptychs to juxtapose intimate human portraits with the textured, weathered surfaces of its setting. The series features model Selena Forrest, whose presence anchors the editorial as she transitions effortlessly from minimalist balcony portraits to sun-drenched beach scenes. Stylist Tony Irvine curates a wardrobe that emphasizes both structural volume and delicate lace, creating a vibrant contrast against the muted, natural light. With techniques ranging from natural light portraiture to subtle live-action film references, the project maintains a consistent thread of authentic, lived-in atmosphere. By thoughtfully incorporating still-life shots of domestic religious iconography and maritime details, the work achieves a deeply layered, dreamlike quality. This collection functions as an immersive editorial study, where high-fashion sensibilities meet the gritty, tactile reality of a coastal metropolis, resulting in a cohesive, stylistically distinct vision that feels both candid and meticulously composed.
