Herdes Magazine: The Faroe Tales

The Faroe Tales is an editorial fashion project for Herdes Magazine that explores the intersection of rustic, natural textures and contemporary design. Through a series of portrait and detail-oriented compositions, the work leans into an earthy aesthetic, utilizing natural light to highlight intricate knitwear and sharp architectural lines. The imagery balances the organic elements of mossy woodland landscapes with the structural rigidity of slate-roofed dwellings and wooden cabin interiors. Photographer Giuseppe Vaccaro captures the subjects with a focus on tactile detail and moody, atmospheric lighting. The project’s visual identity is further defined by the use of grainy film textures and high-contrast monochrome treatments. With art direction by Ivano Mansueto and fashion styling by Lorenzo Garzelli, the editorial presents a curated selection of layered apparel, set against the quiet, contemplative backdrop of a rugged, outdoors-focused narrative.
