Harper's Bazaar UK
Hermes Beauty

May 2025
This editorial series for Harper’s Bazaar UK focuses on the high-end craftsmanship of Hermes Beauty products. The project explores the intersection of luxury cosmetics and product photography through a series of sharp, studio-based still lifes. The collection features a minimalist aesthetic, utilizing clean lines and symmetrical compositions to highlight the material textures of packaging, from metallic gold seals to lacquered glass and wood caps. Photographer Cameron Bensley employs directional lighting and macro techniques to emphasize the tactile details of the cosmetic range, often set against stark, high-contrast backdrops. Spanning various product categories including lipsticks, palettes, and fragrances, the images lean into a graphic, commercial style that prioritizes precision. The execution consistently focuses on the interplay between form, light, and colour, presenting the luxury beauty items as both functional objects and sculptural elements.
