Formative Influence is a fashion editorial series for Harper's Bazaar UK, captured by photographer Cathy Kasterine. The project features model Julie Hoomans set against a rugged, rural landscape, using a moody and earthy aesthetic to frame a collection of structured, avant-garde silhouettes. The series leans into high-contrast monochrome tones and fine textural detailing. Through the use of analogue film and natural light, the work emphasises the interplay between the sculptural garments—ranging from woven knit bands to geometric cut-out coats—and the organic, moss-covered terrain. Styling for the project was led by Holly Gorst, with hair styling by Paul Donovan and makeup artistry by Victoria Bond.
