Harper's Bazaar Korea
The New Structure

Aug 2026
In The New Structure, Harper's Bazaar Korea presents a masterclass in modern luxury, oscillating between the sharp, industrial precision of architectural spaces and the soft, organic fluidity of high-fashion couture. Photographed by Peter Ash Lee, the series explores the tension between garment and environment, utilizing both stark studio strobe lighting and ethereal natural light to highlight the intricate craftsmanship of each piece. From voluminous feather-adorned gowns to intricate, pearl-encrusted silhouettes, the editorial captures a dialogue between rigid form and dynamic movement. The creative synergy is bolstered by the precise styling of Sebastien Richard and the sophisticated makeup artistry of Tom Pecheux, which leans into graphic, minimalist aesthetics to frame the models, including Coumba Mballo, Fran Summers, and Yun Seo Woo. The project masterfully integrates editorial minimalism with complex textures, occasionally channeling a cinematic quality through the use of analogue 35mm film techniques and intentional motion blur. Whether set against the raw, unfinished concrete of an industrial interior or the pristine expanse of a minimalist studio, each frame emphasizes the structural ambition of the clothing. By juxtaposing delicate embroidery and heavy, shimmering fringe against stark, neutral backdrops, the team creates a visceral exploration of the silhouette, positioning these luxury fashion pieces as central, sculptural elements within a meticulously curated visual narrative.
