Harper's Bazaar Korea
Shaped by Air

Shaped by Air for Harper's Bazaar Korea masterfully bridges the gap between high-end luxury fashion and the raw, untamed elements of a coastal landscape. Through the lens of photographer Zoo Yongyun, this fashion editorial campaign leans into a cinematic aesthetic that prioritizes the interplay between structured garments and the rugged, sun-drenched environment of the beach. The project relies on the expert eye of fashion editor and stylist Hyeyeon Yoon to curate an assortment of textures, ranging from shimmering metallic gold fringe and soft satin to weighty knits and patterned florals. Each frame is defined by the use of natural light, which is harnessed to create deep, deliberate shadows that emphasize the architectural lines of the clothing against the weathered granite boulders and vast blue sky. By positioning the model against these earthy, monumental backdrops, the editorial achieves a sense of scale and serenity. The work consistently utilizes a portrait-heavy approach to capture the fluidity of movement, effectively utilizing natural light to highlight the intricate details of the fabrics. This collection serves as a refined study in contrast, successfully marrying the polished, sophisticated world of luxury fashion with the quiet, expansive beauty of a maritime horizon to produce an enduring and evocative visual narrative.
