JUST BOYS

Jul 2026
Harper's Bazaar Korea redefines the intersection of horology and youth culture with its evocative JUST BOYS editorial series. By pairing an array of luxury timepieces and fine jewelry with an eclectic range of personal styles—from structured patchwork denim and vibrant sportswear to high-concept knitwear and bass-ready leather—this project moves beyond traditional watch advertising to create a compelling visual narrative. The series leans into a polished, editorial minimalism that celebrates the nuanced textures of both skin and attire, utilizing clean studio strobe and soft natural light to achieve a sophisticated, high-fashion aesthetic. Photographer Pakbae captures these subjects with a raw, contemplative focus, while the styling by Hyeyeon Yoon masterfully balances the sharp lines of luxury watches with the playful, expressive energy of the models. Across the varied portraits, the interplay between accessory and outfit serves to highlight individual identity, turning the act of wearing a watch into a deliberate, stylish statement. The images oscillate between the playful and the contemplative, creating a cohesive, high-end editorial mood that feels both accessible and aspirational. By keeping the backgrounds neutral and the lighting soft and even, the imagery ensures that every intricate detail, from gold-spiked pearl necklaces to the metallic sheen of a watch face, remains the undeniable focal point of the composition.
