Harper's Bazaar Korea
Engineered Bleu for Chanel Watches

Aug 2026
In a striking convergence of horology and high-fashion editorial, Engineered Bleu for Chanel Watches arrives as a masterclass in minimalist precision. Commissioned for Harper's Bazaar Korea, the project centers on the sophisticated navy ceramic timepieces of the collection, utilizing a stark, high-key studio environment to strip away distraction and focus entirely on product narrative. Photographer Choi Moonhyuk captures model Esther Kim with clinical clarity, employing refined beauty light and soft lighting to accentuate the matte textures of the watches against the model's sleek, chin-length bob and structured tailoring. Fashion editor and stylist Hyeyeon Yoon orchestrates a visual lexicon that bridges the gap between classic luxury and automotive-inspired grit, juxtaposing the technical finesse of the watches with props like motorcycle helmets and car tires to ground the imagery in an unexpected, elevated aesthetic. The work utilizes live-action technique and editorial minimalism to transform the studio space into a playground of luxury branding, where the clean silhouettes of the apparel serve as the perfect frame for the Engineered Bleu design. By maintaining a uniform, brightly lit palette across every frame, the project ensures that the focal point remains consistently on the intersection of form and function, delivering a polished, cohesive campaign that defines the current standard for high-end fashion jewellery editorials.
