T: The New York Times Style Magazine Fringe Benefits - by Keir Laird and ... 2026

About

Fringe Benefits, a fashion editorial for T: The New York Times Style Magazine, utilizes a collage aesthetic to highlight seasonal apparel. Photographed by Keir Laird, the series frames models in textured fringe, shaggy knitwear, and statement footwear against urban city landscapes. By layering multiple photographic prints with distinct white borders, the work leans into an analogue film quality. The imagery captures a mix of candid street moments and stylized poses under natural daylight, emphasizing the tactile nature of the garments. Creative production was supported by executive producer Ian William Bauman and producer Shay Johnson, with casting by Finlay Macaulay. Hair styling by Junya Nakashima and makeup by Ingeborg provide a polished finish to the raw, grainy compositions.
