Look East is a fashion editorial series for Financial Times HTSI Magazine, captured by photographers Sean and Seng. The project explores contemporary silhouettes and textile textures through a mix of clean studio portraiture and urban exterior settings. Fashion editor and stylist Tamara Rothstein leads the visual narrative, coordinating high-fashion ensembles that blend structured tailoring with fluid, sheer layering and retro geometric motifs. The aesthetic leans into a cool, minimalist palette, utilizing both soft directional studio lighting and natural light to emphasize fabric depth and sculptural details. The series features models Canlan Wang, Haojie Qi, and Yilan Hua, with hair by Kei Terada and makeup by Mel Arter. Casting was provided by Evagria Sergeeva and Helena Balladino.
