Tres Chic is a fashion editorial feature for Esquire Germany, centered on a series of studio portraits featuring model Kit Butler. The project explores contemporary menswear through a lens of sharp tailoring, architectural layering, and varied garment textures. Photographer PA Hüe de Fontenay works with fashion editor and stylist Kai Margrander to frame the subject across a mix of monochrome and warm-toned imagery. The series leans into a clean, minimalist aesthetic, using neutral grey backdrops and directional studio lighting to emphasize the structural qualities of the wardrobe, ranging from double-breasted suits to quilted outerwear. Technically, the work draws on high-speed capture and chiaroscuro techniques to balance dynamic motion with refined, static portraiture. Hair styling by Paolo Ferreira and makeup by Alberto Boggeri provide a groomed finish, while casting direction is handled by Stephan Dimu.
