Elle Hungary x LEGO

Apr 2026
In a playful fusion of high fashion and iconic toy design, Elle Hungary and LEGO join forces for a visually arresting editorial feature that reimagines classic runway silhouettes through a whimsical, plastic lens. Photographer Zoltan Tombor masterfully bridges the gap between organic textures and synthetic craftsmanship, capturing a model adorned in a custom one-shoulder gown constructed entirely from vibrant yellow LEGO bricks. This centerpiece look, accented by artificial daisies and cosmos flowers, cascades into a soft tulle skirt that grounds the structural rigidity of the bricks in dreamlike fluidity. The production leans into an editorial minimalism, utilizing a neutral, light grey studio backdrop to allow the neon-bright elements and lush, moss-covered set design to command the viewer’s full attention. Through the lens of fashion editor and stylist Melinda Csik, the imagery transcends standard product placement, evolving into a conceptual meditation on nature and construction. The series utilizes live-action technique and a gentle natural light aesthetic, creating an interplay between the tactile, smooth surfaces of the plastic building blocks and the delicate humanity of the subject. Whether through the tightly cropped portraits framed by oversized sunflowers or the full-length compositions that evoke a sense of surrealist garden fantasy, the collaboration proves that even the most rigid materials can be sculpted into high-concept art, resulting in a cover story that is as inventive as it is visually refreshing.
