For the Version Originale project, Elle France presents a cinematic editorial feature starring actor Charlotte Gainsbourg. Captured by photographer Chris Colls, the series leans into a studio-based narrative, surrounding Gainsbourg with an array of vintage television monitors and analog production equipment. The imagery utilizes a monochrome palette and clean, directional lighting to emphasize the textures of structured tailoring and leather garments. The project incorporates editorial styling by Hortense Manga, alongside hair styling by Yuji Okuda and makeup by Satoko Watanabe. Across the spread, the production shifts between intimate portraits and wide compositions that frame the subject within the industrial environment of a film set, maintaining a consistent focus on narrative style and balanced composition.
