Retour de Plage is a fashion and beauty editorial series for Elle France, centering on a collection of imagery that explores wellness rituals and relaxed, sun-drenched aesthetics. Photographed by Marie Schmidt, the project utilizes soft directional and natural light to capture model Marlijn Hoek in various architectural settings, from stone-paved terraces to earthy stucco-walled environments. The editorial leans into a minimalist, monochromatic, and earthy visual language. The styling, led by fashion editor Anne-Marie Brouillet, features neutral-toned apparel and swimwear.
