Retour de Plage is a fashion and wellness editorial produced for Elle France. Through a series of captures by photographer Marie Schmidt, the project explores quiet, grounded aesthetics, centering on model Marlijn Hoek. The series moves between beauty-focused portraiture and outdoor fashion, utilizing a palette of earth tones and natural light to create a cohesive narrative. Styling by Anne-Marie Brouillet informs the neutral apparel and accessories, while hair styling by Javier Palacio and makeup by Tatsu Yamanaka emphasize a clean, dewy complexion. The visual execution relies on soft, directional lighting and minimalist composition to highlight natural textures across both the skin and the surrounding rustic architecture.
