Mises en Classe is an editorial fashion series for Elle France that explores classic academic aesthetics through a contemporary lens. The project leans into rich textural contrasts, pairing heavy wools, tweeds, and knits with smooth leather accessories and tailored outerwear to create a polished, scholarly narrative. Photographer James 'Buzz' White captures the models across a variety of settings, transitioning between clean studio backdrops and moody, warm interiors filled with natural light. Fashion editor and stylist Elisabeth Akessoul orchestrates the layered garments, while hair stylist Fabio Petri and makeup artist Tiina Roivainen provide a refined, retro-inspired finish to the series. The editorial integrates analogue techniques and monochromatic film compositions, emphasising the interplay between seasonal fabrics and structured accessories.
