Ladylike is a fashion editorial series for Elle Canada, defined by a deliberate fusion of retro silhouettes and industrial textures. The project features model Agel Akol, whose sculpted vintage-inspired hair and distinct styling evoke a nostalgic aesthetic set against urban, weathered backdrops. Photographer Samuel Fournier captures the narrative through a series of vertical compositions that emphasize textile depth and clean color blocking. Creative director and stylist Olivia Leblanc orchestrates the looks, pairing intricate lace and sequin details with structural garments, while hair and makeup by Steven Turpin maintain a polished, high-contrast finish. The work relies on natural light to underscore the tactile qualities of the wardrobe, ranging from tweed and velvet to shaggy shearling.
