Double Magazine: Outside of Pittsburgh

Outside of Pittsburgh is a fashion editorial series for Double Magazine that explores the tension between high-fashion aesthetics and austere, industrial landscapes. Captured by photographer Moni Haworth, the project features model Yura Romaniuk navigating settings ranging from active manufacturing facilities and mining sites to quiet suburban outskirts. Stylist Lotta Volkova brings a subversive lens to the wardrobe, juxtaposing vibrant, floral-patterned garments and tailored outerwear with the raw, gritty backdrop of heavy machinery and gravel lots. The character-driven imagery is defined by a distinctive beauty look featuring prominent hair rollers and neon-accented makeup, realized by hair stylist Holli Smith and makeup artist Thomas De Kluyver. With casting by Julia Lange, the series employs an analogue film sensibility and natural lighting to create a surreal, documentary-style narrative that leans into nostalgic and retro influences.
