For D Repubblica, Pause is a fashion editorial series that explores movement and stillness within intimate, domestic interiors. Photographed by Tanya and Zhenya Posternak, the project leans into a nostalgic aesthetic, utilizing analogue film techniques and grainy textures to frame model Caitlin Soetendal against contrasting dark wood paneling and soft white linens. The series demonstrates a layered approach to styling by Léopold Duchemin, mixing structured tailoring, delicate lace, and ornate metallic fabrics with bold accessories. The visual language oscillates between high-contrast monochrome chiaroscuro and warmer, muted 1970s palettes. With set design by Sophear Van Froment, casting by Giulia Massullo, and grooming by Tom Wright and Vassilis Theotokis, the production emphasizes tactile detail through natural lighting and carefully considered environments.
