Captured for D Repubblica, the fashion editorial 'Pause' presents a curated study of texture and form. Photographers Tanya and Zhenya Posternak employ a range of lighting approaches, oscillating between high-contrast monochrome and warm, natural light to ground model Caitlin Soetendal within various domestic and architectural settings. The project leans into an analogue film aesthetic, utilising grainy textures and chiaroscuro lighting to evoke a cinematic mood. Fashion editor and stylist Léopold Duchemin anchors the visual narrative through layered garments, blending ornate metallic jacquards, lace lingerie, and structured leather trench coats with bold, statement accessories. Set design by Sophear Van Froment and casting by Giulia Massullo complete the production, with hair by Tom Wright and makeup by Vassilis Theotokis providing a polished, tactile finish to the imagery.
