Miami Rapture

Feb 2026
Miami Rapture, a high-fashion campaign commissioned by D Repubblica, captures the quintessential interplay between architectural geometry and the fluid silhouettes of luxury fashion. Photographed by Robin Galiegue, the editorial utilizes the sun-drenched, mid-century backdrop of Miami to create a cinematic narrative defined by striking high-key lighting and dramatic chiaroscuro contrasts. The project features models Ava Shipp and Mona Tougaard, who navigate spaces ranging from sparse, white-walled hotel corridors to urban coastal balconies, their presence elevated by the precise vision of fashion editor and stylist Malina Joseph Gilchrist. Stylistic choices, including sculptural ruffles, sharp vinyl textures, and avant-garde tailoring, are grounded by the deliberate use of natural light, which cuts through the composition to emphasize clean, graphic lines. James Pecis and Jamal Scott contribute to the polished aesthetic, with sleek hair and bold, minimalist makeup enhancing the overall sense of poise. Techniques such as 35mm film photography and balanced, high-contrast black-and-white portraits lend the work an authentic, timeless quality. By juxtaposing vibrant, saturated colors against the stark turquoise and white tones of the setting, the campaign channels a sophisticated, editorial minimalism that celebrates both the subject and the landscape. It is a masterful study in visual storytelling, where every frame is meticulously constructed to highlight form, movement, and the evocative pulse of the city.
