In the sprawling landscape of contemporary magazine media, D Repubblica’s In my dreams editorial serves as a masterclass in intimacy and tactile storytelling. Captured through the lens of photographer Zoë Ghertner, the series leans into a cinematic, dreamlike aesthetic that prioritizes the visceral connection between human subjects and their domestic environments. By weaving together high-contrast portraiture and macro fine art, the project transcends traditional fashion photography to explore a raw, almost voyeuristic vulnerability. The visual narrative is defined by a deliberate interplay of textures, where natural light softens the sharp edges of metallic glitter, lace-trimmed slips, and lived-in home office clutter. This delicate balance is elevated by the creative contributions of fashion editor and stylist Bianca Raggi, whose curation of fabrics creates a seamless dialogue between the subject and their surrounding space. Makeup artist Inge Grognard brings an experimental edge to the feature, utilizing bold, shimmering stripes and deep pigments to underscore the ethereal, surrealist mood.
