Beyond the veil is a fashion editorial series for D Repubblica, exploring the tactile nature of luxury accessories through a refined, conceptual lens. The project captures items ranging from high-end timepieces and structured handbags to detailed footwear, emphasizing the intricate craftsmanship of each piece. Photographer Marco Lessi utilizes natural light and a soft, hazy focus to create a dreamlike atmosphere, often shooting through translucent veils to obscure and reveal the textures beneath. Set designer Beatrice Bonino complements this aesthetic with minimalist, clean compositions that leverage pleated backdrops and neutral surfaces to keep the focus on material quality and form.
