Cursor
Brand Identity

Nov 2025
The brand identity for Cursor, a tool within the Apps & Digital Platforms sector, establishes a technical and precise visual system rooted in modern software design. Developed through a collaboration between Kimera, Justin Jay Wang, Yannik Wenk, and Rohil Borole, the project emphasizes minimalist aesthetics, functional typography, and rigorous geometric construction. The identity is defined by the development of Cursor Gothic, a bespoke typeface showcasing a complete character set with clear hierarchy. The system relies on clean vector graphics, a monochrome color palette, and structured grid lines to represent the software’s developer-focused utility. Through extensive motion graphics, the brand demonstrates its adaptability across digital interfaces, featuring kinetic typography, animated wireframes, and a rotating 3D logo mark. The execution focuses on professional clarity, moving between dark-mode UI environments and light-themed specimen layouts. The project balances conceptual technicality—seen in the animated logo construction—with functional interface elements like icons and navigation menus, resulting in a cohesive design system for modern software workflows.
