Crown Affair
Brand Identity

May 2020
The Crown Affair brand identity project is a masterful study in minimalist sophistication, translating the ritualistic nature of premium hair care into a cohesive and tactile visual language. Captured through the lens of photographer Vanessa Granda, the project leans into editorial minimalism to elevate standard product packaging into high-end objects of desire. By utilizing techniques such as macro photography and deliberate emboss and deboss applications, the work emphasizes the physical quality of the brand’s collateral, from custom stationery to modular product boxes. The design strategy prioritizes a restrained color palette of pale sage, mustard yellow, and crisp off-white, allowing the bespoke Crown Affair Sans typography to serve as the structural anchor of the entire identity. Each element, whether it is a symmetrically arranged gift set or a single frosted glass bottle, reflects a commitment to intentionality and grace. The project expertly blends commercial precision with a soft, natural light aesthetic that feels both accessible and aspirational. This identity does not merely label the product; it establishes a sense of ritual, transforming everyday grooming tools like brushes, combs, and hair oils into essential lifestyle accessories. Through its rhythmic use of shadow and geometric composition, the brand identity creates a lasting impression of quality, precision, and timeless elegance that resonates deeply within the modern beauty landscape.
