New York Stories is a fashion editorial series for Cero Magazine, helmed by Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Shia. Captured by photographer Alana Ocano, the project balances clean, minimalist studio portraiture with textured urban location work. The series leans into a high-contrast aesthetic, utilizing editorial framing to highlight sculptural garment silhouettes—ranging from heavy fringed dresses and tailored blazers to glossy vinyl outerwear. The visual language oscillates between monochromatic portraits and vivid, color-blocked compositions, often punctuated by bright red accents and dramatic tailoring. Supporting the editorial vision are hair stylist Kenta Koda and makeup artist Akiko Owada, whose work focuses on sleek styling and graphic beauty details.
