British Vogue’s "Bride" editorial project explores bridal fashion through a lens of artistic, documentary-style portraiture. The series features model Freya Nutter in a variety of settings, ranging from expansive woodland meadows to quiet, domestic interiors, emphasizing the intersection of high-fashion bridal wear and organic, tactile environments. Photographer Ben Toms utilizes both natural light and high-contrast, low-key chiaroscuro techniques to highlight the complex textures of the garments. The project leans into a monochrome aesthetic, utilizing analogue film to achieve a gritty yet clean visual language that underscores the intricate detailing of the bridal ensembles. Creative production was led by fashion editor and stylist Jessica Gerardi, with hair styling by Naoki Komiya and makeup by Bea Sweet. The editorial’s distinct sense of place is established by set designer Harry Stayt, creating a cohesive visual narrative across each location.
