Heavenly Creatures is a fashion editorial series produced for Behind the Blinds, capturing a series of intimate and atmospheric portraits. The project leans into a mix of interior and woodland settings, utilizing natural light and high-contrast, moody aesthetic choices to frame its subjects. Photographer David Macke leads the visual direction, working alongside stylist Michael Andrew to curate a range of looks that spans formal evening wear, ornate velvet tailoring, and sharp, contemporary layering. The series features hair styling by Dennis Devoy and makeup by Regina Harris, with casting direction provided by Barbara Pfister. Through its use of analogue film techniques and chiaroscuro lighting, the editorial maintains a consistent, cinematic tone across its varied environments.
