DUSK is a high-contrast editorial project produced by Behind the Blinds that explores the intersection of human form and light. Through a series of intimate, cinematic diptychs, the work utilizes low-key chiaroscuro lighting to sculpt the male subject, emphasising muscle definition and intricate skin textures against deep, minimalist shadows. Photographer Joey Leo employs a blend of moody monochrome and desaturated colour palettes to achieve a theatrical intensity. The series moves between stark studio portraits and contemplative, private moments, leaning into analogue film aesthetics to capture raw, tactile details. Featuring model Piotr Kubiak, the project maintains a consistent focus on sculptural contours and sharp directional illumination.
