Dreaming of U is a fashion editorial series for Behind the Blinds that traverses a series of intimate, atmospheric domestic scenes. The project leans into a cinematic, retro-inspired aesthetic, utilizing high-contrast lighting to explore textural depth and mood across a collection of ornate, eclectic interiors. Photographer Joey Leo captures a sense of quiet solitude through a varied lens, alternating between gritty, flash-lit portraiture and soft, low-key chiaroscuro compositions. The styling creates a tactile dialogue between voluminous fabrics—ranging from faux fur to intricate patterns—and the classical architecture of the settings, moving from deep, monochromatic shadow play to saturated, warm amber tones.
