Dreaming of U is a fashion editorial series for Behind the Blinds that traverses a spectrum of domestic intimacy and stylized narrative. Photographer Joey Leo employs a range of high-contrast techniques, from moody chiaroscuro and atmospheric low-key lighting to the crisp, defined aesthetic of direct flash. The series leverages rich, tactile environments—ranging from antique-filled interiors to lush, overgrown outdoor spaces—to frame its subject in a series of contemplative, often cinematic vignettes. Moving between monochromatic grit and vibrant, warm-toned palettes, the project relies on heavy layering of textiles and architectural detail to build its visual language.
