The POP LUXE project for At Large Magazine serves as a masterclass in modern editorial photography, distilling the essence of luxury fashion houses into a series of stark, high-concept portraits. Through the lens of photographer Willy Lukaitis, the project leans into a minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes form, texture, and graphic composition over elaborate staging. The visual language is defined by a dichotomy between high-contrast chiaroscuro lighting, which emphasizes the sculptural qualities of leather and heavy textiles, and the crisp, even illumination of studio strobe setups against neutral backdrops.
