10 Magazine
Captured twice

Mar 2026
Captured Twice, a striking editorial spread for 10 Magazine, redefines the visual language of high-end jewellery through an uncompromising lens of minimalist sophistication. Under the expert creative direction of Editor-in-Chief Sophia Neophitou, the series moves beyond traditional product photography, transforming ornaments into extensions of the human form. Photographed by Antoine and Charlie, the portraits lean into editorial minimalism, utilizing stark, high-key white backgrounds and controlled studio strobe lighting to strip away all distractions. This intentional austerity ensures the focus remains entirely on the interplay between the subject—model Ateta Jok—and the intricate craftsmanship of the pieces, from wing-shaped ear adornments to layered geometric necklaces. The project establishes a profound dialogue between skin tone and texture, further enhanced by Chiao Chenet’s precision hair styling and Pep Gay’s evocative makeup work, which often utilizes bold, saturated blue and graphic white eyeshadow to mirror the vibrant rubies and sapphires in the collection. By prioritizing sculptural silhouettes and emotive, tight compositions, the team creates a series of commercial yet deeply artistic portraits. The resulting work feels both timeless and contemporary, capturing the brilliant sparkle of gemstones alongside the sharp, graceful features of the subject, ultimately asserting that true luxury is best communicated through a balance of technical restraint and creative clarity.
