Yann Legendre is a distinguished French artist whose creative journey traverses the vibrant cultural landscapes of Bordeaux and Chicago. Renowned for his unique illustrative style, Yann masterfully blends the intricate detail of Renaissance engraving with the sleek, modern aesthetics of contemporary vector art. His compelling works have captivated audiences across more than 25 countries, establishing him as a significant figure in the global art scene. Yann’s accolades are a testament to his artistic prowess, including the prestigious Gold Medal at the “3x3 Professional Show” in New York, the Gold Pencil at the “One Show,” and the Best Movie Poster Award at the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX. Beyond his artistic achievements, he has also impacted the next generation of artists as a faculty member at the University of Illinois at Chicago (IUC). In a remarkable collaboration with Lucasfilm, Yann was commissioned to create a series of 25 illustrations in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Star Wars, further solidifying his reputation in the realms of pop culture and fine art.
