William Abranowicz is a distinguished photographer celebrated for his exquisite still life, landscape, and lifestyle imagery that reflects a meticulous attention to detail and a refined aesthetic. With an enduring passion for classical forms in both interiors and exteriors, Abranowicz has served as a contributing photographer for Condé Nast Traveler for an impressive 25 years. His compelling work has graced the pages of nearly every major publication across the United States, , and Asia, including The New York Times Magazine, WSJ Magazine, Vanity Fair, Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, Vogue, Town & Country, Bon Appétit, More, Real Simple, Martha Stewart Living, and Travel + Leisure. Beyond editorial photography, Abranowicz has crafted impactful campaigns for renowned brands such as Ralph Lauren Home Collection, Rolex, Eddie Bauer, Estée Lauder, IBM, Banana Republic, Merrill Lynch, Old Navy, Orvis, and Target, showcasing his versatility and creativity in commercial endeavors. Abranowicz's profound understanding of photographic history is complemented by his exceptional skills as a fine art printer. He honed his craft while assisting the celebrated photographer George Tice for nearly a decade and working alongside the legendary Horst P. Horst. This unique blend of artistic knowledge and technical expertise informs every aspect of his image-making process. His work has been exhibited in prominent galleries, and his prints are included in esteemed public and private collections around the globe, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, the International Center of Photography in New York, The National Portrait Gallery in London, and The Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. In 2001, Abranowicz published his photographic tribute to Greece, *The Greek File*, through Rizzoli, followed by *Hellas* in 2011, published by Hudson Hills Press, which continues his exploration of Greece's rich history in the context of contemporary life. His latest work, *The Mianus River Gorge* (2014), pays homage to the watershed preserve near his home. Abranowicz has also collaborated on books for luminaries such as Ellen DeGeneres, Jeffrey Bilhuber, Alan Wanzenberg, and Martha Stewart. Currently, he is developing a comprehensive monograph that encapsulates his extensive travel, portrait, and interiors photography over the past quarter-century. Outside of his artistic pursuits, Abranowicz is a licensed falconer and a passionate environmentalist, actively engaged in local, regional, and national initiatives related to water, land, and climate issues. He resides in Bedford, New York, where he enjoys life with his son and daughter.
