Todd Hido is a renowned artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area, celebrated for his compelling photographic narratives that explore themes of memory, landscape, and the human experience. His work has garnered significant attention, appearing in prestigious publications such as Artforum, The New York Times Magazine, Eyemazing, Wired, Elephant, FOAM, and Vanity Fair. Hido's photographs are part of esteemed permanent collections, including the Getty, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the de Young Museum, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, among others. Notably, Pier 24 Photography houses the complete archive of his published works, a testament to his impact on contemporary photography.
