Bio
Tim Tomkinson is an award-winning illustrator whose creative journey began in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, before blossoming on the sun-kissed shores of Florida's Gulf Coast. His childhood memories were shaped by the vibrant landscapes of these locales, but it was his teenage years in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, that truly defined his artistic vision. Immersed in the breathtaking mountains, Tim embraced the outdoors through hiking, climbing, and snowboarding, experiences that continue to inspire his work. In 1999, Tim took a significant step toward his artistic aspirations by enrolling at New York's prestigious Parsons School of Design, where he honed his skills in illustration. Just before graduating, he secured a position with the renowned creative agency Friend and Johnson, marking the beginning of his professional career. Tim's diverse portfolio showcases his versatility, encompassing editorial illustrations, advertising campaigns, portraiture, motion graphics, publishing projects, fashion work, and institutional commissions. His talent has garnered recognition in esteemed publications such as American Illustration, Communication Arts, and Luerzer's 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide, solidifying his status as a leading figure in the illustration community.
