Originally hailing from Cape Town, Giddings’s childhood was marked by extensive travel, which ignited his passion for exploring various countries and communities. This sense of curiosity and connection permeates both his artistic work and personal endeavors, allowing him to capture the essence of human interaction and place. In his mid-20s, Giddings made a pivotal move from London to New York, where he had the extraordinary opportunity to work alongside acclaimed photographer Nan Goldin. Under her mentorship, he honed his craft and launched his own successful photography career. His striking imagery has graced the pages of prestigious publications such as Document Journal, W Magazine, Interview, T Magazine, and WSJ Magazine. Additionally, he has collaborated with renowned brands including Calvin Klein, Cos, Burberry, and Bottega Veneta, showcasing his versatility and creative vision. Giddings’s work has been featured in multiple exhibitions, allowing him to share his unique perspective with a broader audience. His first photography book, *There’s No Other Place Like This Place Anywhere Near This Place, So This Must Be the Place*, serves as a visual diary chronicling a transformative road trip across America titled "I Will Make A Way."
