Sam discovered his passion for photography in the vibrant and energetic atmosphere of D.I.Y. punk gigs held in the intimate pub basements of his hometown, Sheffield. This formative experience ignited his desire to tell stories through the lens, forging connections with both people and places while uncovering the beauty that often resides in the overlooked and the everyday. His photographic style is characterized by a thoughtful, stylized approach that embraces color and texture, allowing him to capture moments that resonate deeply with viewers. Whether working on personal projects, editorial assignments, or commissioned pieces, Sam’s work is consistently centered around the interplay of light—both natural and artificially created—infusing each image with a sense of warmth and emotion. Throughout his career, Sam’s artistry has garnered recognition from esteemed awards and galleries, including the National Portrait Gallery, D&AD Awards, Lürzer's Archive, Creative Review, It’s Nice That, Palm Studios, and the AOP Awards.
