Burman is a visionary photographer whose artistic journey began in India in the early 1980s, rooted in a family of sculptors and painters. This rich heritage deeply informs his approach to photography, where art is not merely an influence but a guiding principle. After honing his skills at the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography in California, Burman made his mark in the vibrant creative landscape of New York, where he had the privilege of assisting renowned photographers Steven Klein and Mark Seliger. In 2008, Burman returned to India, embracing the opportunity to collaborate with esteemed brands and contribute to influential publications such as Elle and Vogue, among others. His work is characterized by a distinctive storytelling ability and a unique artistic vision that transcends cultural boundaries. Constantly on the move, Burman divides his time between Paris, New York, and Mumbai, drawing inspiration from the rich tapestries of Eastern and Western philosophies.
