Rick Guest is a distinguished photographer whose passion for his craft is encapsulated in his belief: “If you do something you love, you will never work a day in your life.” This ethos drives him to capture the world through a lens that marries the precision of a scientist with the creativity of an artist. His striking imagery pulsates with energy, whether he is photographing Olympic athletes, Formula 1 racing cars, or celebrated musicians. Each photograph is a masterful interplay of light, movement, and technology, reflecting his commitment to both artistry and innovation. A personal fascination with dance has inspired Rick to embark on a long-term project that explores the grace and strength of ballet. This endeavor has resulted in five critically acclaimed solo exhibitions in London and continues to evolve as he collaborates with prestigious ballet companies across . In 2018, Rick released ‘Portrait of a Dancer,’ a collector’s folio featuring 30 large-format prints that honor the career of Edward Watson, the esteemed Principal of the Royal Ballet. This project garnered the attention of HRH The Prince of Wales, who contributed the foreword, and led to eight of Rick’s portraits being acquired by the National Portrait Gallery for their permanent collection.
