Richard's artistic journey began in Fargo, North Dakota, long before the city gained its contemporary allure. His diverse experiences across the United States have enriched his perspective and creative expression. After earning his graduate degree in Tucson, Arizona, he found inspiration in the vibrant arts scene of Asheville, North Carolina, before ultimately establishing his home and studio in the dynamic landscape of New York. Now based in Brooklyn, Richard expertly navigates the realms of editorial, corporate, and advertising projects, seamlessly blending illustration and motion design. He thrives on the conceptual phase of visual communication, relishing the challenge of translating complex ideas into compelling narratives—whether to market a product or illuminate intricate themes within an article. Richard is particularly passionate about participating in the early stages of concept development, where imagination meets strategy. His talent has not gone unnoticed; Richard's work has garnered prestigious accolades from esteemed organizations such as American Illustration, Communication Arts, and the Society of Illustrators, alongside multiple Addy Awards and recognition from 3×3 Illustration.
