Bio
Remi, originally from Poland, embarked on a transformative journey to New York at the age of 13, igniting his lifelong passion for photography. His fascination with the medium blossomed in the intimate setting of his father's home darkroom, where he first experienced the magic of capturing moments on film. In 2006, Remi earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the esteemed School of Visual Arts. During his studies, he was selected for the prestigious Mentor Program, where he had the unique opportunity to be mentored by Kathy Ryan, the influential editor of The New York Times Magazine. This enriching experience culminated in the exhibition "Mentors," showcased at the Visual Arts Gallery in New York, highlighting the profound impact of guidance in an artist’s development. Following his graduation, Remi honed his craft as a photo assistant, working alongside luminaries such as legendary fashion photographer Arthur Elgort and esteemed artist Coliena Rentmeester. After five years of refining his skills in the fast-paced world of professional photography, Remi's personal vision began to emerge, leading him to notable recognition at the ITS FIVE Photography competition in Trieste, Italy, where he won both the Mini International and Lebook awards. This pivotal achievement propelled him into a flourishing career, connecting him with an impressive roster of clients, including Nordstrom, J.Crew, Old Navy, Fossil, , GAP, Garnett Hill, Goop, and Anthropologie. When he’s not behind the lens, Remi embraces his musical side, playing the bass guitar in a band. He currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, where he enjoys life with his family, constantly drawing inspiration from the vibrant surroundings of the city he now calls home.
