As they state, “We approach our work as storytellers, capturing not just faces but also the ambiance—the flicker of flames, the earthy embrace of soil, and the delicate gathering of wild ferns.” The inception of PEDEN + MUNK traces back to their formative years at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where they were profoundly influenced by the celebrated photographer Paul Jasmin. His guiding words, “show me where you live,” ignited their passion for visual storytelling. Following graduation, they dove into a whirlwind of projects centered around the vibrant restaurant scene in Los Angeles, where their signature style began to take shape.
