Patrizio Di Renzo, a Swiss photographer and filmmaker, embarked on his artistic journey at the tender age of 16, training as an industrial photographer. His early career saw him honing his craft as an assistant in Paris and later establishing himself as a photographer in Milan. By the early 1990s, Di Renzo set his sights on the fashion industry, relocating to Istanbul, where he made a significant mark working with prestigious fashion magazines such as Harper's Bazaar and Elle. In 2001, Di Renzo returned to Switzerland, where he flourished as an advertising and fashion photographer. It was during this period that he caught the attention of renowned fashion designer Tsumori Chisato, who commissioned him to create a global campaign and a unique store concept, further solidifying his reputation in the industry. As his career evolved, Di Renzo made a pivotal move to New York and Los Angeles, where he began conceptualizing his first illustrated book, "Portraits of Illusions." This captivating work features a series of short photographic narratives captured in diverse locations, including Ireland, New York, and the Seychelles. With a distinctive approach that intentionally distances itself from reality, Di Renzo embraces the philosophy of "Move away from Realism," inviting viewers into a world where imagination reigns. In 2005, Di Renzo returned to Switzerland and established his studio in Baar. Five years later, he ventured into music video production, making his debut with a visually stunning piece for Italian singer Enzo Fertitta, followed by a striking video installation for Issey Miyake. Characterized by a unique blend of the magical and the sensual, Di Renzo's work transcends conventional boundaries. He masterfully intertwines elements of romance and eroticism, crafting a dreamlike aesthetic that captivates and enchants, inviting audiences to explore the intricacies of his imaginative universe.
