With over three decades of experience in the realm of fashion photography, Pamela Hanson has established herself as a preeminent figure in the industry, renowned for her captivating imagery that transcends borders. Her work has graced the pages of esteemed publications including American, French, British, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, and Chinese editions of Vogue, as well as Elle, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and GQ, among many others. Pamela's diverse portfolio also includes collaborations with high-profile clients such as Estée Lauder, Dior, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Victoria’s Secret, further solidifying her reputation as a sought-after artist in the fashion world. In addition to her photography, Hanson has made significant contributions to the world of video and television, directing impactful commercials for brands like L’Oreal and Warby Parker. Notably, she created a poignant series of TV spots aimed at raising funds for juvenile diabetes research, and her documentary “Family Stories,” a collaboration with The Partnership at Drugfree.org, earned her recognition from the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP). Pamela's artistic vision is further reflected in her published works. In 2001, she released "Girls," a celebrated photo book showcasing a blend of personal and professional images, which quickly gained international acclaim. This was followed by "Boys" in 2006, and her latest work, "Private Room," released in Fall 2017. This book presents a powerful series of nude and semi-nude portraits of eight women taken at Lafayette House between 2012 and 2014, celebrating the essence of female beauty and self-assurance. Born in London and raised in Geneva, Pamela’s artistic journey began with her education at the American School in Lugano, Switzerland, before she pursued fine arts at the University of Denver. Today, she resides in New York, where she continues to draw inspiration from her surroundings and her two sons, Nicky and Charlie, who enrich her life and work.
