Owen Silverwood is a distinguished photographer and director renowned for his exceptional work in still life photography. With a striking and meticulously crafted aesthetic, Owen masterfully fuses technical precision with graphic design elements. His multi-disciplinary approach allows him to navigate diverse creative landscapes, resulting in compelling projects that encompass fashion, advertising, music, and the visual arts. Owen's artistic journey began at Leeds College of Music, where he studied music production and composition. It was during this time that his passion for film and photography blossomed. Before fully embracing stills photography, he cultivated a robust skill set as an editor, motion graphics animator, and cameraman—each role enriching his visual storytelling capabilities. Drawing inspiration from the intricacies of nature and the wonders of science, Owen infuses his photography with the depth and nuance of his varied experiences. In addition to his accomplishments in stills photography, he is also an acclaimed director, having created evocative music videos for prominent artists such as Coldplay, London Grammar, and Jon Hopkins. Notably, he received the Best Alternative Video award at the 2013 UK Music Video Awards for London Grammar’s "Wasting My Young Years." Owen’s work has been showcased in exhibitions, including the group show "Visual Noise" at Protein Studios in London in 2016.
