Bio
Born in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, I am the second son of two adventurous rock 'n' roll tour managers who thrived in a world of music and creativity. My parents, free-spirited hippies, managed iconic artists such as David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Tina Turner, infusing my early years with a rich tapestry of artistic influence. My brother and I spent our childhood exploring the scenic hills of Silver Lake, where every corner held the promise of inspiration. As my parents transitioned from the whirlwind of tour managing, we relocated to the serene foothills outside Yosemite National Park. In the charming town of Mariposa, we embraced the tranquility of rural life, with the breathtaking countryside serving as our expansive playground. My mother returned to her roots in the fashion industry, working as a production coordinator for esteemed brands like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Gianni Versace. My father pursued a new path in architecture, designing distinctive homes and commercial spaces that harmonized with the stunning landscape of Yosemite. It was during my teenage years that I discovered my passion for photography, inspired by my Uncle's fashion work and my Grandfather's poignant industrial and World War II imagery. The legendary Ansel Adams, a local hero, captivated me with his masterful ability to capture light in nature. Each summer, my family would visit the enchanting island of Capri, my mother’s homeland, where I fell under the island's spell and found my true calling behind the lens. In 1997, I embarked on a new chapter, moving to New York after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with dual degrees in Photography and Textile Design. My career has since flourished, allowing me to collaborate with diverse editorial, catalog, and advertising clients. With a camera always in hand, I remain committed to capturing fleeting moments—whether on assignment or during family travels—continuously seeking the extraordinary in the everyday.
