Bio
Nick Turner is a distinguished American artist, born in Boston in 1983 and raised amidst the serene landscapes of rural Maine. His early years were spent in a home-schooling environment, fostering a profound appreciation for nature that would later become a cornerstone of his artistic vision. At the age of fourteen, Turner embarked on a transformative journey to the South of Paris, where he attended a French high school before moving to Toulouse to complete his international baccalaureate. Following his academic achievements, Turner made his way to Paris, immersing himself in the vibrant art scene before relocating to New York. There, he pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration at the prestigious Parsons School of Design, honing his skills and expanding his creative horizons. Turner’s artistic practice delves into the intricate relationship between nature and the human experience. Working across various mediums—including painting, photography, and collage—he explores themes that resonate deeply with his personal interests in horses and surfing. His works often juxtapose intimate reflections of his own life with broader societal narratives, weaving together motifs from family history and expansive landscapes that span the globe. Through this interplay, Turner invites viewers to contemplate humanity’s place within the natural world, bridging individual experience and collective consciousness in a thought-provoking dialogue.
