Nawal Sari is a fashion and beauty influencer based in Western Sydney, Australia. ‍ Being Muslim and wearing the hijab, Nawal is often a singular face in the Australian fashion community and has used her platform to be the representation she craved when she first started her Instagram in 2017, only one year into wearing the hijab. ‍ Nawal has found a 200K-strong sisterhood behind her on Instagram alone, and has partnered with an impressive list of like-minded brands including Gucci, Valentino, Tory Burch, Mecca and Ultra Violette. ‍ She recently graduated with Bachelor of Communications (Advertising) and is committed to furthering the conversation piece around fashion, religion and culture as well as normalising modest fashion in mainstream media. ‍ Her hope is to inspire other Muslim women on their own modest fashion journeys and to promote empathy, understanding and kindness by putting a face to the 'hijabi next door'.
