Bio

Naima Green is a multifaceted artist and whose practice encompasses photography, performance, and text. With a profound ability to weave narratives through diverse mediums, her work has garnered attention in prominent exhibitions across esteemed institutions such as Fotografiska, the Smart Museum of Art, MASS MoCA, the International Center of Photography, the Houston Center for Photography, the Bronx Museum, and BRIC. Green's artworks are held in prestigious collections, including the MoMA Library, the International Center of Photography Library, Barnard College Library, the National Gallery of Art, Teachers College, the Smart Museum of Art, and the Decker Library at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), underscoring her impact on contemporary art discourse. She holds an MFA in Photography from ICP–Bard, where she was honored with the Director’s Fellowship in both 2016 and 2017. Additionally, she earned an MA from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a BA from Barnard College. In the realm of commercial work, Green has collaborated with notable brands such as Best Buy, Olay, Kate Spade, and Brooklinen, further showcasing her versatile talent and innovative approach to visual storytelling.
